About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Estimator with strong Non-Process Infrastructure (NPI) and construction experience to support the successful tendering and delivery of major remote accommodation village and infrastructure projects.
This role is critical to the front end of project delivery. You will work closely with our Design & Engineering Manager, Planners, Engineers and Contracts team to develop accurate, competitive and buildable cost estimates for large-scale NPI works.
You will be involved in shaping project scope, methodology and pricing strategies from early tender phases through to project award.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare detailed cost estimates for remote NPI construction projects
* Review drawings, specifications and scopes of work for constructability and completeness
* Develop and maintain cost plans, BOQs and pricing models
* Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain accurate pricing
* Work closely with design, engineering and planning teams to align pricing with construction methodology
* Identify project risks, assumptions and exclusions within tender submissions
* Assist with tender clarifications and client queries
* Participate in site visits, tender briefings and scope reviews
* Support value engineering and cost optimization initiatives
* Contribute to handover of successful tenders into delivery teams
Skills and Experience:
* Demonstrated experience as an Estimator in the construction industry
* Proven NPI project experience (remote villages, buildings, civil and services infrastructure)
* Strong understanding of construction methodologies and cost drivers
* Experience working on large-scale or major construction projects
* Ability to interpret drawings, specifications and technical documentation
* Experience sourcing and managing subcontractor pricing
* High attention to detail and strong commercial awareness
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
* Relevant construction or engineering qualifications (desirable)
