This role is part‑time (3 days per week), with flexibility to work additional hours as required, and reports directly into the Executive Team.
As the WHS Coordinator, you will champion safe work practices across all areas of the business, providing practical guidance and hands‑on support to our warehousing, manufacturing, logistics, and project installation teams. You will work closely with managers, employees, and Executive leadership to embed proactive risk management, informed decision‑making, and accountability into everyday operations.
Some of the tasks you'll do during your working day:
* Facilitate effective consultation processes with employees, ensuring safety issues and actions are captured, tracked and resolved.
* Conduct risk assessments, incident investigations, audits and inspections to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.
* Support incident reporting and investigation processes by guiding leaders through timely reporting, root‑cause analysis, corrective actions, and the consistent application of learnings across all sites.
* Lead continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen safety maturity and operational reliability.
* Evaluate the effectiveness of implemented controls and recommend adjustments as required.
* Review subcontractor SWMS and monitor their performance against requirements.
* Monitor contractor HSE performance ensuring compliance with company standards and contractual obligations.
* Assist with management of injury management processes.
You'll also have the opportunity to lead impactful safety projects, such as:
* Designing a fit‑for‑purpose Safety Management System aligned to organisational needs, legislation, Codes of Practice and relevant Australian Standards.
* Building capability across frontline teams by embedding safety expectations into routine workflows, decision‑making processes and project planning activities.
You will hopefully already have the following skills or experience:
* Diploma or a tertiary qualification in Work Health and Safety or a related discipline.
* 3–5 years' experience providing safety support across multiple sites or regions, ideally in a mix of warehouse, manufacturing, logistics and project‑based environments.
* Demonstrated experience developing, implementing or improving a Safety Management System, including procedures, risk controls, and reporting processes.
* Solid working knowledge of Australian WHS legislation, regulations and relevant standards, and the ability to interpret and apply these in a practical, business‑focused way.
* Proven ability to engage, influence and coach employees, supervisors and managers at all levels, including in blue‑collar and site‑based contexts.
* Proactive mindset with a strong commitment to continuous improvement.
