The opportunity
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced National Business Manager to join our leadership team and drive growth in our retail business across Australia. This is a confidential search for a proven sales leader with a strong national account management background who can deliver results, lead a high-performing team, whilst developing and executing strategic sales plans. You will be joining a team that has been one of the fastest growing globally for a few years in a row who are constantly innovating and challenging the status quo.
What you will do
This role will report directly into the General Manager and you will be responsible for planning, implementing, and monitoring sales strategies to achieve national revenue, margin and market share targets.
Develop and execute national sales strategies and promotional plans to grow the business within the retail network.
Develop, monitor and achieve short and long term sales strategies within the retail business.
Manage and build strong relationships with core national accounts to maximize revenue and brand presence.
Lead, mentor, and develop the national accounts and field sales team to meet targeted sales, margin, and operational objectives.
Work with the Marketing team to develop and implement promotional & marketing activities to grow sales.
Drive account profitability through effective inventory, promotional management, and sales forecasting.
Collaborate closely with marketing, product management, logistics, and finance teams to align business plans and maximize sell-through.
Represent the business at trade exhibitions, conferences, and key industry events.
Maintain and report on CRM data, competitor activities, and market trends to senior management.
Ensure compliance with internal policies, safety standards, and quality assurance processes.
What We're Looking For
Degree or diploma in Marketing, Business, or related field (Postgraduate qualifications preferred).
Minimum 8 years' national account management and sales leadership experience, ideally within consumer electronics, consumer goods, consumer durables or FMCG.
Proven track record managing major national retail accounts and leading successful sales teams.
Strong business acumen with experience in project management, revenue management, and category planning.
Skilled in strategic planning with ability to balance big picture thinking and hands-on execution.
