About OzHarvest:
OzHarvest is a leading food rescue organisation on a mission to ‘Nourish our Country’ by stopping good food from going to waste and delivering it to charities that help feed people in need. Through our education programs and our advocacy work, we hope to inspire others to change behaviour and help reach the national target of halving food waste by 2030.
About the role:
We are on the lookout for confident, friendly drivers who are passionate about community and sustainability to join OzHarvest based in Molendinar on the Gold Coast.
We are currently hiring for Part-Time (2 days per week), and this role is a fixed-term contract until March 2027.
As a food rescue driver, you will spend your workday in our bright yellow van collecting and redistributing good-quality surplus food and delivering it to the charities we serve across the Gold Coast, always with a smile and compassion.

Our vans require a standard car licence only (no truck licence needed). Our onboarding process includes comprehensive training on safety systems and food rescue processes, as well as buddy shifts to prepare you for solo runs. Our logistics team provides real-time support to help guide you through each day’s rescue route.

The successful candidate will:
* Be able to safely navigate around the Gold Coast Region and must hold a valid Australian Drivers Licence (automatic car licence is fine)
* Be excited to foster relationships with people at your pick-up and drop-off locations, and educate and inspire behaviour change by talking about our work
* Be physically fit and be able to load and unload food boxes (up to 15kg per box)
* Bring an energetic, proactive & friendly attitude to the team.
