The Prospect
At Executive Risk Solutions (ERS), we’re looking for a skilled and experienced Emergency Services Officer (ESO) and Medical Emergency Services Officers (MESO) to join our highly capable team supporting various clients across Western Australia.
These roles are FIFO from Perth, typically 2 weeks on, with a mix of days and nights. You’ll be a vital presence on the ground - responding to incidents, running drills, and keeping people protected in some of the most dynamic and high-risk environments across Australia.
You will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of all personnel and property in the event of an emergency as well as developing and implementing emergency response plans, coordinating emergency response efforts, and providing training to employees on emergency procedures.
You will be required (but not limited) to:
- Lead emergency response efforts with confidence and professionalism
- Deliver regular training and run drills to ensure site-wide preparedness
- Manage, maintain and deploy emergency equipment when it’s needed most
- Coordinate closely with site management, stakeholders and external services
- Conduct post-incident debriefs and improve protocols based on real insights
- Support site safety by staying ahead of compliance, risk, and readiness
Eligibility for the role
Minimum 3+ years’ experience in emergency response or a related field, with a background in emergency management, fire services, defence or similar. You should have strong knowledge of response protocols, proven communication and leadership skills, the ability to stay calm under pressure, and solid organisational abilities. Along with a high level of physical fitness.
You must have (or be willing to obtain) the following:
- RII30719 – Certificate III in Emergency Response and Rescue OR PUA30622 – Certificate III in Public Safety (Firefighting and Emergency Operations) must include: Undertake confined space rescue (PUASAR025), Undertake vertical rescue (PUASAR032) and Road crash rescue (PUASAR024)
- PUAVEH001 – Drive Vehicle Under Operational Conditions
- HLTPAT005 – Collect specimens for drugs of abuse testing
- Heavy Rigid (HR) Driver’s Licence to operate site fire appliances
- HLTAID011 – Provide First Aid – needs to be current within 3 years
- HLTAID009 – Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) – needs to be current within 12 months
- Cert IV Healthcare (Ambulance) or higher (*MESO requirement)
- Hold a National Police Clearance Certificate (current within 6 months of appointment)
