Square IPC is a rapidly expanding construction and commercial refrigeration specialist delivering high-quality insulated panel installations and stainless-steel fabrication across key industries in Australia. We are seeking a capable Accountant to enhance financial governance and support smart, data-driven decision-making within the business.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare monthly and annual financial statements for internal reporting and regulatory requirements.
Support development and implementation of budgeting, costing, and broader accounting policies.
Oversee job-costing and track profitability across multiple projects and sites.
Carry out internal financial checks and assist with external audits when required.
Prepare and lodge BAS, GST, PAYG, payroll tax, and other ATO submissions.
Ensure ongoing compliance with Australian tax laws and accounting standards.
Maintain and improve accounting systems, processes, and internal financial controls.
Provide tax guidance related to day-to-day operations, investments, and business decisions.
Analyse cash flow, capital expenditure, and financial risks to support leadership decisions.
Work with banks and financial institutions on funding, loans, and corporate finance matters.
Improve reporting accuracy by streamlining workflows and introducing digital tools where needed.
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Accounting or a closely related field.
CPA/CA membership or active progress toward professional accreditation (desirable).
Solid understanding of Australian taxation, compliance requirements, and financial reporting standards.
Experience with job-costing or operational accounting, ideally in construction or manufacturing.
Strong analytical skills and high attention to numerical detail.
Confident using accounting software such as Xero, along with Excel and ERP-style platforms.
Desirable Experience
Managing inventory, asset registers, and depreciation schedules.
Supporting business performance reporting, forecasting, and planning.
