Position Purpose:
The Inside Sales Representative acquires new customers, upgrades, or converts current customer accounts from transactional waste-only service to value-added service offerings.
This role involves obtaining incremental revenue through sales calls, lead campaigns, and prospecting. The representative will sell value-added services such as online OSHA portals and training to assist with compliance, as well as medical waste collection for high-value LQG affiliated customers.
Key Job Activities:
1. Receives inbound calls & emails from prospective & existing customers to sell Stericycle's services and/or products using consultative selling strategies to meet or exceed 100% of revenue and quota goals.
2. Builds a pipeline of potential future business through prospecting via marketing/lead campaigns, territory lists, the Internet, and other sources.
3. Researches and verifies prospects using the CRM system ensuring proper account assignment and documentation of special circumstances including cross-territory opportunities.
4. Uses internet and other resources to understand clients' industries and needs.
5. Meets or exceeds performance metrics such as outbound calls close rates order size and sales cycle management tracks all lead and opportunity details.
6. Forecasts monthly and quarterly sales within 5% of actual results.
7. Targets upgrade and cross-sell opportunities for additional Stericycle products/services.
8. Uses CRM tools effectively for lead follow-up pipeline management forecasting and tracking lost opportunities maintaining accurate notes.
9. Qualifies clients through consultative strategies.
10. Supports other projects and duties as assigned.
Education & Experience:
* Bachelor's degree in Sales/Marketing or equivalent work experience.
* 2+ years in sales/marketing managing and developing accounts.
* Experience in customer relations support and leadership abilities.
* Ability to learn company billing/customer database software and product features.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office CRM knowledge preferred.
* Knowledge of OSHA regulations or healthcare industry is preferred.
