Standard start time is 6:30am, with shifts ranging from 8 to 12 hours, offering strong earning potential.**Key Responsibilities**In this role, you will be responsible for:* Conducting day-to-day operation and basic maintenance of plant, vehicles, and equipment* Operating mobile equipment, including excavators, front-end loaders, and dump trucks (experience preferred)* Operating crushing and screening plants* Assisting with weighbridge operations* Performing general maintenance and contributing as a versatile quarry all-rounder**About You**To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:* A strong commitment to workplace safety and a solid work ethic* A current Australian Provisional or Open Driver's Licence* Mechanical aptitude and an interest in working with heavy machinery* Previous quarrying or mining experience (highly regarded)* Relevant machinery tickets (excavator, front-end loader, dump truck) – desirable* Weighbridge experience – advantageous* Confidence in using computers and ability to learn new systems* The ability to pass a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screening**What We Offer*** Competitive hourly rate of $34.75 – $37.34 (dependent on experience and qualifications), plus penalty rates and superannuation* Opportunity to work with a globally recognised and growing organisation* Company-provided uniform and personal protective equipment (PPE)* Ongoing training, career progression, and development opportunities**Employee Benefits**At Heidelberg Materials Australia, we prioritise the well-being and professional development of our employees.
