The primary focus of this role is to provide clinical care under supervision to patients of the Medical Imaging Department.
The Role
An opportunity has become available for a Registrar Advanced Trainee/Fellow (Interventional Radiology) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 13 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
* Undertake comprehensive specialised fellowship training in Interventional Radiology
* Provide Medical Imaging and Interventional Radiology services
* Contribute to and support clinical unit improvement activities
* Participate in clinical audit and research
* Provide education on Interventional Radiology
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
* Possession of Bachelor of Medicine / Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or recognised equivalent
* AHPRA Registration
* Successful completion of Part II FRANZCR exams or equivalent and completion of all necessary registrars training
* Holding or eligible to hold appropriate radiation lincence
* Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
* Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
* Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
* Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary
* Temporary full time (12 months, commencing February 2027)
* Base salary ranging from $170 214 - $187 569 per annum

The Medical Imaging Department delivers a wide range of diagnostic imaging and interventional services across the Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service. The service provides a Level 6 Medical Imaging service at the Gold Coast University Hospital in Southport and a Level 4 service at Robina Hospital.
