This is a hands‑on role. The successful applicant will be responsible for providing direction, technical support and development to our Rydalmere Workshop team.
Key Duties
* Lead and coordinate a small Workshop team
* Ensure high standards of workmanship throughout the Workshop are maintained, with positive mentoring and leading by example.
* Provide regular updates to the Workshop Supervisor to ensure timelines are met and communication is maintained.
* Workshop installations and pre‑delivery inspection duties for all new or used cranes and hook loaders
* Fabrication and installation of subframes from design to development and manufacture
* Service duties of new and used vehicle loading cranes and hook loaders
* Completion of all job documentation
* Always working in a safe manner and adhering to site policies and procedures to enhance the safety culture and performance of the site.
Required Qualifications
* Prior experience in a Leading Hand role working in a similar industry
* Hold a Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical, Fabrication Trade, or equivalent
* Experience working on heavy vehicles
* Experience with cranes and/or hook loaders an advantage
* Ability to interpret drawings and procedures
* Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Demonstrated ability to work safely
* Good time management and work prioritisation skills
* Current Driver’s licence (H or HR preferable)
* Ability to pass a pre‑employment medical and a National Police Check
