What You Will Be Doing
In this role you will be planning, directing and coordinating the distribution of products to ensure timely distribution. Working Monday Friday from 5:30AM 2:30PM, they are chasing someone who can make the role their own and conducting the following duties:
Accountable for freight charged vs freight invoiced must recover 100% of freight costs each monthLiaising with Branch Production and other Internal/External Sales staffCoordinating transport carriers and couriers and customers tocoordinate delivery timesBooking in freight and planning delivery allocationsRaising orders for transport and verifying invoices chargesCompiling a weekly transport cost summaryLoad planningCoordinating Branch forklift operators in daily yard activitiesAssisting in supervision of loading and unloading of trucksResponding to email and phone enquiries from customersObtaining freight quotes for Customer Service staff and customersIssuing picking slips to forklift drivers and completing invoices of delivered goodsCoordinating all incoming materials and goods to BranchInventory management in conjunction with the Branch Manager and Production ManagerOrganising stock transfers between other company BranchesEnsure all staff and transport Contractors comply with their legislative responsibilities and our safety standards,Process & confirm all goods received and dispatched including transfers of goods, dispatch KPIs, drivers hours, loading rates, Reload rates and order completion rate.
What You Will Need
Forklift licence + experience Excellent communication, organisation, and time management skillsProven ability to lead a team of forklift driversAbility to conduct stocktakes and lead stocktake activities with the teamAble to work autonomously without constant supervisionConfident dealing with truck driversPrevious NHVR audit experience idealDrivers Licence + reliable transportAble to pass a pre-employment medical and drug/alcohol assessmentQualifications in transport, logistics or supply chain (desirable)
