The Role

We are seeking an experienced maintenance planner to join our team in Kununurra, WA on a permanent full-time basis. The full time role serves as the critical conduit between operation and maintenance and are responsible for day-to-day maintenance planning including repairs, safety, compliance and management of cotton ginning production machinery and equipment. This critical position ensures the completion of maintenance tasks to achieve bale output targets to the highest standard of quality and safety.

Your duties as a Maintenance Planner will include:

* Serve as a liaison between maintenance and production with respect to maintenance and shutdown planning.
* Devise maintenance and repairs plan/schedule for all ginnery equipment to minimise plant and equipment unplanned downtime.
* Ensure maintenance and repairs plan/schedule is adhered to.
* Adjust schedules as appropriate to account for unexpected machinery breakdown.
* Establish open lines of communication between departments to ensure maintenance plan is carried out in an efficient manner.
* Provide reactive support to cotton ginnery equipment in the event of an emergency breakdown.
* Conduct testing of all ginnery machinery and equipment to ensure all ginning machinery are operating at maximum capacity.

Skills & Experience

The ideal candidate has previous experience in a similar role and is equipped with a trade background or proven skills in mechanical and/or electrical applications. You'll have a mature and proactive approach to your duties and be able to work well with all members of the team. With excellent people management and problem-solving skills, it is important you can prove the following:

* Diploma level qualifications or at least 5 years demonstrated experience in maintenance planning;
* Strong skills in maintenance/production environments;
* Team player attitude with high attention to detail;
* Ability to commit to residing in the regional Australia (Kununurra, WA).
* Willingness and ability to pass a Pre-employment Medical and Drug + Alcohol testing.
