Job Overview
The System Architect will design and define system architecture for new or existing computer systems. This role requires a Full Scope polygraph clearance.
Key Responsibilities
* Develops and defines system architecture for new or existing computer systems, ensuring optimal performance levels.
* Manages an organization's computer systems' workflows, responsible for upkeep, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, including network administration and software/hardware configurations.
* Provides technical support in the management of networks, software, hardware, configurations, and architectures, troubleshooting moderately complex system hardware and software issues.
* Trains end users on proper use of hardware and software, performing software installations and upgrades to operating systems and layered software packages.
* Ensures workstation/server data integrity by implementing standard software and hardware solutions, as well as ensuring data/media recoverability through regular backups and database archive operations.
* Conducts hardware and software audits of workstations and servers to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines, ensuring the performance and security of computers meet the needs of network users.
* May evaluate existing systems and assist with planning long-term strategies, providing guidance to less-experienced professionals.
