This role plays a crucial part in supporting our HR department by facilitating various HR processes and initiatives. T The HR & Training Officer works as part of the HR team in all areas of the Human Resources Department through training and General HR, and coordinates employee 'on-boarding' at the Bourke Plant and staff development. Just like our best cuts of meat, there are a few essential qualities that we need and look for in this role: Key Responsibilities: - Maintain and update employee records in the HRIS (Human Resource Information System). - Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and advantages. - Training & Development of Staff - Events, employee engagement activities, and team-building initiatives. - Participate in HR projects and initiatives as assigned. - Provide payroll support, payroll systems & verification and data entry. - Establish and maintain strong and effective working relationships with employee representatives, employee associations and unions, and other key stakeholders. Qualifications & Experience: - Minimum 1 year experience in a similar HR role. - Training & development Experience &/or qualifications - Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. - Proven ability to build relationships across all levels of the organisation. - Understanding of the employee life cycle, including knowledge of employment law, Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and HRIS systems.
