We are seeking a high-performing individual to join the Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) Strategy, Policy and Engagement team. The Policy Officer role supports diverse portfolios, with the opportunity to work on various strategic and other Government priorities. It is a dynamic role, where priories can change. A resilient attitude, high degree of adaptability, and being a good team player is required.
The individual will need an awareness of the machinery of government and risk, with the ability to be able to communicate to a diverse range of audiences.
Key focus areas include:
* Project management
* Managing government processes
* Rapid, high-quality policy advice
* Stakeholder management and engagement
* The position is based at Ministry's 1RR building
Crown Clerk 7/8, salary from $113,574 – $125,720 plus Super and annual leave loading

What you'll be doing
This role sits within the Strategy, Policy and Engagement team and works to:
* Conduct policy analysis to provide timely, strategic advice
* Leverage your ability to write with clarity and influence to communicate effectively with different audiences
* Engage with diverse stakeholders to build collaborative working relationships
* Preparing advice and briefing responses for CAOD teams, Ministry executives, and the Minister
This role works with key stakeholders nationally, across other NSW Government agencies and within NSW Health.
