Senior Grounds and Maintenance Coordinator
Arndell Anglican College invites applications for the position of Senior Grounds and Maintenance Coordinator. Reporting to the Facilities and WHS Manager, this role plays a key part in ensuring that the College's facilities, grounds, buildings, and agricultural spaces are maintained to a high standard, contributing to the academic, pastoral, and spiritual life of the College. The Senior Grounds and Maintenance Coordinator will work as part of a collaborative team to ensure the College's presentation, safety, and functionality are exemplary and reflective of Arndell's values. This role also supports College operations and events, contributing to the wider life of the College, which may include occasional attendance at sporting and community events. In this role, you will:
* Coordinate and implement the day-to-day tasks to be completed by the Grounds and Maintenance Team Members. This includes assisting the Facilities and WHS Manager with the coordination of Grounds and Maintenance team briefings, respond to Grounds and Maintenance team questions, and ensure the team completes tasks on schedule and on brief.
* Maintain accurate, up-to-date compliance registers, inspection logs, and technical manuals, ensuring all work, equipment and the maintenance shed adheres to relevant compliance and safety standards.
* Undertake daily maintenance and presentation of College facilities, grounds, gardens, sporting fields, and buildings, and perform minor repairs, painting, concreting, and general upkeep across the campus.
* Assist with the set up and pack down of College events, assemblies, and functions.
* Support the Agriculture Faculty Farm through animal care, feeding, and preparation for shows.
* Manage College mini-buses, including cleaning, refuelling, and coordination of repairs and inspections.
* Implement safe work practices and maintain compliance with WHS and Child Safe standards.
* Contribute positively as a collaborative and effective member of the Grounds and Maintenance Team.
This is a permanent full-time position (38 hours per week), including non-term time. Start and finish times may vary with seasonal and workload requirements. The role requires experience in building, landscaping and horticulture, and/or facilities maintenance, and relevant trade qualifications (Certificate III in Horticulture, Certificates in Building and Constructions and/or Certificate III in Animal Care Services) will be highly regarded. You will have a minimum of 3 years+ experience in coordinating team members and working in a team environment. The role requires a Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain) and requires the candidate to have a reasonable level of physical fitness to perform manual and outdoor duties safely.
