THE OPPORTUNITY
Canberra International Golf Centre is seeking an experienced and passionate Retail and Golf Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our Golf Shop. This is a key leadership role ideal for someone with strong golf knowledge, retail expertise, and a focus on delivering outstanding customer experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage all retail and golf shop operations, ensuring smooth service and efficiency.
Provide expert advice on golf gear and apparel, manage special orders, and support club fitting and repair.
Build vendor relationships and oversee merchandising, seasonal displays, and sales promotions.
Lead inventory management including stocktakes, SKU controls, and POS systems.
Recruit, train, roster, and manage shop staff to deliver top-tier service.
Drive revenue through strategic planning, cost control, and operational improvement.
Maintain compliance with safety standards, policies, and procedures.
Contribute to business planning as part of the venue's leadership team.
About You:
Strong knowledge of golf and retail; PGA qualification or club fitting skills are a bonus.
Proven experience managing retail operations, budgets, and inventory.
Exceptional communication, customer service, and leadership skills.
Confident with POS systems, multitasking, and problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.
