Case Worker: Integrated Family Support Service (IFSS)

CatholicCare Tasmania is the primary social services agency of the Catholic Church across Tasmania. We have 60 years' experience delivering a wide range of services and support to improve individual, family and community wellbeing. Our services are available and open to all with a particular focus on families, young people and children.
About the role
The program provides a range of integrated services for families including clinical, therapeutic, and practical interventions. Case workers provide in-home support, parenting education, and family life skills, to support families to achieve their optimum level of functioning. CatholicCare Integrated Family Support Services aim to support sustainable and safe environments for children within their family home, resulting in family preservation and reduce further contact with Child Safety services and the ARL.
About You
As the IFSS case worker you will…
* Hold tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, Allied Health or related field or equivalent experience in Health, Social or Community Services.
* Provide outreach support to families in the Launceston area, inclusive of home visitation, community facilities and external providers (medical appointments, education venues, etc.).
* Advocate and facilitate care team meetings between families and supporting agencies.
* Engage with families and work together to develop effective plans for long-term positive outcomes.
* Work with families to identify goals which promote safety, well-being and a sense of belonging for their children.
* Utilise case management skills to educate and provide therapeutic interventions for families, inclusive of reviews, reporting and general administrative tasks.
