Responsibilities
Metro South Health is seeking an experienced nursing leader to join Bayside Health Service as Assistant Director of Nursing – Medicine and Emergency, providing operational and professional leadership across key clinical services. In this senior leadership role you will drive clinical governance, service performance and workforce capability across inpatient medical wards, emergency services and specialty programs. Key responsibilities include:
* Provide strategic and operational leadership across Medicine and Emergency services, ensuring safe, high-quality and efficient patient care.
* Lead clinical governance, performance monitoring and quality improvement initiatives across multiple hospital and community services.
* Manage workforce, financial and resource planning for large multidisciplinary teams and multiple clinical portfolios.
* Partner with executive leadership and stakeholders to implement innovative models of care and improve service delivery outcomes.
About You
We are seeking a highly experienced nursing leader who is passionate about improving healthcare outcomes and developing high-performing teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
* Extensive senior nursing leadership experience in complex healthcare environments, ideally across emergency and acute medicine services.
* Proven ability to lead strategic service improvement, clinical governance and operational performance in large multidisciplinary teams.
* Strong financial, workforce and resource management capability with experience managing budgets and performance targets.
* Excellent communication, collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to lead change and drive innovation.
Applicants must hold registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, with a tertiary nursing qualification (postgraduate qualifications highly regarded).

Bayside Health Service encompasses five public health campuses: Redland Hospital at Cleveland, Marie Rose Centre at Dunwich North Stradbroke Island, Wynnum Manly Community Health Centre "Gundu Pa", Pandanus Ward at Casuarina Lodge, Wynnum Manly and the Redlands Satellite Health Centre "Talwalpin Milbul" at Redland Bay.
Bayside Health Service provides services within the hospital and community setting such as Emergency Care, Primary Health and Minor Injury Care, Acute and subacute medicine, general surgery, maternity and paediatric, mental specialist outpatient and mental health care.
