Provide a range of administrative and clerical support services to enable the Patient Flow Unit to achieve its objectives in a timely, reliable and efficient manner.
To perform all clerical functions in an efficient and effective manner within the Patient Flow Unit, as outlined in the NSW Ministry of Health (MoH) Planned Surgery Access PD2025_036, by liaising and maintaining open and effective lines of communication between all staff concerned with the admission of elective patient admissions.
Selection Criteria
* Demonstrated ability to perform a wide range of administrative tasks in a demanding environment
* Experience of responding to a range of enquiries and determining the appropriate response in a complex work environment within a hospital setting
* Demonstrated effective interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
* Demonstrated commitment to providing quality service and quality improvement initiatives in workplace practices and procedures.
* Ability to use computer hardware, software applications and electronic systems at a basic level in accordance with policy and procedure
* Experience with iPM and eMR
* Knowledge of Medical terminology
* Proven experience with dealing with the members of the public
