Reporting into the National Contracts Manager, the Category Specialist will join our Procurement team to lead strategic initiatives and drive performance improvements across high-volume procurement activities.
This pivotal role is focused on delivering exceptional commercial outcomes and enhancing operational efficiency.
Location Options:
* South Guildford, WA
* Tomago, NSW
Roster: Monday – Friday, 8.5-hour days (Including half-hour meal break)
What You'll Do:
* Develop and maintain a strategic overview of industry trends
* Collaborate with supply partners to monitor and review contract KPIs
* Lead strategic planning initiatives to transform the category
* Ensure contract compliance and assess vendor performance
Skills & Experience:
* Tertiary qualification in Procurement, Supply Chain, Category Management, or a related field
* Strong background in contract lifecycle management
* Knowledge of advanced sourcing strategies
* Exceptional attention to detail
* Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
* Familiarity with SAP ARIBA or similar ERP systems
* Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office
* Industry experience in mining, construction, forestry, infrastructure, manufacturing, or engineering (desirable)
