Location
Cooma, NSW (100% On-site).
Estimated Duration
24 months - In general, when the project ends, we try to relocate the employee to other projects to ensure continuity.
Summary
Responsible for managing and implementing project works, ensuring time, cost, quality, safety, and contractual targets. Develops and applies procedures to guarantee quality, safety, timely delivery, and budget compliance.
Responsibilities
* Communicate the program to all relevant internal parties.
* Oversee tracking of off‑site procurement items against the program.
* Develop a "One Team" culture to ensure site teams cooperate and integrate effectively with wider project teams.
* Coordinate Graduate and Site Engineers, clarifying expectations and providing regular feedback to ensure performance.
* Lead the professional development of Graduate and Site Engineers by identifying and addressing capability needs.
* Build and maintain positive relationships with clients and external stakeholders, in line with the project code of ethics.
* Comply with WHS policies and procedures.
* Apply and communicate the MAP safety program, making sure it's implemented on-site.
* Verify MAE mandatory controls daily for early identification of non‑compliance.
* Conduct weekly project assurance of MAE hazards.
* Promote a positive safety culture across the project.
* Lead implementation, monitoring, and documentation of SWMSs and procedures across multiple work areas.
* Ensure employees and subcontractors are appropriately trained and skilled, including SWMSs and procedures.
* Actively participate in daily hazard inspections, rectifying or reporting issues as required.
* Conduct formal safety inspections using standard checklists or SWMSs.
Requirements
* A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Project Engineer with the TBM in tunnels/underground/heavy civil construction projects or similar.
* Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
* Positive "can‑do" attitude.
* Initiative and creative problem‑solving skills.
* Self‑motivated and results‑oriented.
* Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills.
* Ability to manage multiple issues and deliver productive outcomes.

Working Hours
14/7 rotational 12-hour shifts - Day/Night
