About the Role
Civil engineers play a crucial part in delivering complex infrastructure projects. We are currently constructing some of Australia's most complex projects, including the Black Hill to Tomago M1, Belmont Desalination Plant Project, and Upper South Creek Advanced Water Recycling Centre.
As a civil engineer, you will be responsible for managing all earthworks, inground services, FRP, and pavement works on an upcoming project in the Hunter NSW region. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on high-profile projects that transform lives.
Key Responsibilities Include:
* Coordinate and administer construction engineering activities to ensure projects are implemented in accordance with plans, designs, and specifications.
* Assist with the preparation of site construction budgets and reports.
* Monitor construction progress for adherence to programme and report to the area manager.
* Interpret designs for implementation in construction projects.
* Direct exposure to interfacing with clients and working on projects through the lifecycle of planning, establishment delivery, commissioning, and handover.
* Demonstrate financial management skills and commercial acumen when making decisions.
* Assign work and assist with reviews for accuracy and adherence to required standards.
* Analyse and use document and record management, progress, and project performance reporting compliance reporting.
* Demonstrate sound people management skills by managing work and performance of subcontractors to achieve outcomes.
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
* 3-6 years of on-site experience postgraduate.
* Strong experience with civil scope including bulk and detailed earthworks, FRP, and pavement works.
* Project experience over $100m in value.
* Leadership ability to provide mentorship to direct reports.
* Demonstrated commercial experience to include planning and reporting on progress cost and risk.
* Demonstrated personal commitment to health and safety.
