About the Position
We are looking to appoint an experienced sales consultant so experience in the flooring industry is preferred.
* You will work alongside other senior sales consultants to assist customers with their flooring purchases.
* This will include in-store customer service, off-site measuring, quoting and customer contact.
* You will also be responsible for helping the team maintain a clean and presentable showroom.
* You will be responsible for building and maintaining strong customer relationships with our client base.
* Ongoing training and support will be provided if required.
Important Qualities We are Looking For
The successful applicant will:
* Have a minimum of three (3) years previous work experience within the flooring industry.
* Have an interest in interiors and home décor and enjoy helping customers transform their homes;
* Have excellent communication skills and excel in customer service;
* Be comfortable using a computer and competent in the Microsoft Office suite;
* Be competent at measuring and quantifying for floor coverings;
* Be personable and enjoy building client relationships; and
* Enjoy and work well as a part of a small team.
* Applicants with a existing clientele will be considered favourably.
No Previous Experience within the Flooring Industry
Whilst previous experience within the flooring industry will be viewed favourably, applicants from outside the industry are welcome to apply.
Favourable transferable skill will include:
* Previous experience in professional selling;
* Excellence in high-quality customer service and client relationships;
* A passion for working with people and helping customers on their floor coverings journey;
* High level of attention to detail;
* Strong computer and administration skills.
Base salary and commission structure to be based on previous experience.
Work Schedule
We offer flexible work hours with a rotating Saturday schedule:
Option 1:
Monday - Friday: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
Saturday: 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM (Rotating Roster – one week on, one week off)
Option 2:
Tuesday - Friday: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
Saturday: 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM

Base salary is $60,000 per year, with uncapped commissions payable on completed sales. Our commission structure will give skilled sales consultants the opportunity to potentially earn more than double their base salary.
