About the Project
Kimberley Mineral Sands Pty Ltd (KMS) is a 50/50 joint venture between Sheffield Resources Limited and YGH Australia Investment Pty Ltd (Yansteel). The Thunderbird Mineral Sands Project (Thunderbird) is located mid-way between Derby and Broome, in the Kimberley region of Western Australia.
Thunderbird is one of the largest and highest-grade zircon mineral sands deposits in the world and contains valuable heavy minerals including ilmenite, zircon, leucoxene, and rutile, which are extracted and exported via the Port of Broome.

About the Role
Residing in the West Kimberley,reporting to the Superintendent Processing and based on site, on a family-friendly roster, this is an exciting opportunity for a Supervisor Processing to join our growing mining company.
This role will provide leadership and direction to processing personnel, ensuring the team are working in an effective and efficient manner to allow safety, production and cost KPIs to be achieved.
Site based roster:8 days on 6 off, 7 nights on 7 off
Key Responsibilities - Technical
* Includes all aspects of production supervision with a focus on the development and training of all operators
* Maintain operating parameters of both WCP and CUP to produce required production outputs
* Proficiency in control room operations
* Hands on approach to managing all aspects of the processing plant operations
* Ensure operational checks are carried out and action items followed up
* Develop team members skills and knowledge as to allow progression within the Kimberley Mineral Sands business
* Understanding of tails management and tailing storage facility operation
* Liaise with Metallurgists regarding operating parameters and technical issues relating to grade and recovery
Key Responsibilities - People and Leadership
* Demonstrate consistent and visible support for the Company's Vision and Values
* Develop and maintain effective and collaborative working relationships with all team members
* Generate, recognise and implement innovative solutions or new/improved approaches to work or work methods
* Be familiar with and comply with all Company policies and procedures
* Assist in the development and management of the relevant department's budget
About You
* Completion of Certificate III or IV in Process Plant Operations or relevant trade
* Completion of Certificate IV in Frontline Management & Leadership
* Current WA C-Class driver's licence
* Minimum 5 years' relevant experience in mineral processing plant, with 2 years' experience in a leadership role
* Experience in control room operations
* Vocational tickets for confined space, Working at Heights, First Aid and bobcat / Front End Loader (FEL) operation, or willingness to obtain
* Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite
* Experience working in a diverse and culturally rich environment would be advantageous
