Job Overview
This is an exciting opportunity to work as a Site Manager in one of the fastest growing Defence bases across Australia. As a Site Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring smooth operation and contract performance by managing the delivery maintenance, repair and project services to Defence equipment including vehicles, plant, equipment and armoury.
Key Responsibilities
* Effective financial control and budget management, forecasting, recommending maintenance improvements in productivity and/or cost, and collecting and sharing cost information.
* Establishing and maintaining strong collaborative and trusted working relationships with clients to effectively meet their needs and ensure contract requirements are fulfilled according to agreed expectations.
* Providing regular detailed reporting to stakeholders.
* Identifying and executing continuous improvement initiatives in areas of safety, quality, and productivity.
* Developing and mentoring team members.
* Supporting and implementing change initiatives.
* Achieving best practice, safety, and quality standards.
Requirements
* Proven management/leadership capability in a workshop environment.
* Trade qualification or maintenance experience advantageous.
* Ability to interact and drive performance with technical staff and subcontractors.
* Demonstrated project management skills.
* Excellent communication skills including presenting, negotiating, and writing reports.
* Intermediate level MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
* Valid Driver's license.
* Australian Citizenship and ability to maintain Defence Security Clearance required.
