St Patrick's Community Support Centre (St Pat's) is a leading not-for-profit organisation working to end homelessness in our community. With over 50 years of experience, we deliver housing, health and support services to some of the most vulnerable people in the South Metropolitan region of Perth.
We are seeking an experienced and values driven Property Services Team Leader to manage the delivery of property services, maintenance and asset management across our diverse property portfolio, including commercial premises.
About the Role
Reporting to the Operations Manager, this role is responsible for leading property services and asset/facilities management functions across St Pat's. You will manage a small team and a broad contractor network to ensure properties are safe, compliant, well maintained and responsive to tenant and organisational needs.
This is a hands-on leadership role that combines operational delivery, people management, contractor oversight and continuous improvement all within a community services environment.
Key Responsibilities
Manage reactive, planned, cyclical and vacated maintenance programs across the property portfolio
Lead and support a team of staff and contractors to deliver high-quality property services
Oversee contractor induction, performance, compliance and value for money
Maintain asset registers and contribute to strategic asset and facilities planning
Coordinate property safety, compliance and regulatory obligations
Manage budgets, reporting and KPIs related to property and asset management
Respond to and resolve property-related incidents, issues, complaints and feedback
Promote a strong safety-first culture across staff, contractors and sites
Identify and implement service and process improvements to enhance operational effectiveness
Work collaboratively with housing and internal teams to support excellent tenant outcomes
About You
You are an experienced property or facilities professional with strong leadership skills and a genuine commitment to community service. You're comfortable balancing operational demands with people leadership, compliance and continuous improvement.
Selection Criteria
Minimum 2 years' experience in a team leader or senior role within a property, facilities or asset management environment
Strong understanding of property maintenance, asset management and contractor coordination
Demonstrated experience managing budgets, reporting and compliance requirements
Proven ability to lead, mentor and develop staff and manage contractor performance
Knowledge of relevant legislation, regulatory and safety frameworks
Experience using housing or property management systems
Highly developed communication, organisation and problem-solving skills
Ability to work autonomously, manage competing priorities and respond to urgent issues
Commitment to working respectfully with vulnerable people and diverse communities
Availability to participate in an after-hours on-call or call-out roster when required
