Geologists - Hydrogeology, Exploration & Diamond Drilling
We are seeking Geologists with Diamond Drilling, Exploration or Hydrogeology experience in Mining to join teams supporting a leading iron ore company in the Pilbara.
This is an exciting FIFO opportunity from Perth, working an 8:6 roster or 2:1 (exploration only) with day shifts only, supporting operational and exploration projects in the Pilbara on a 6 month contract with potential extension.

Description
Diamond Drilling Geologist
Direct and supervise drilling teams (RC and Diamond) in the field
Log RC chips and diamond cores, including textural and geological logging
Validate and manage assay results; ensure QA/QC of sample collection
Plan drilling programs, generate geospatial maps and datasets
Conduct daily safety inspections of drill rigs and drill pads
Work independently in remote locations and provide leadership in the field
Support mine planning and resource definition through accurate geological reporting
Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and operational standards
Exploration Geologist
Field mapping, surface sampling, and prospecting
Identifying exploration targets using geology, geochemistry, and geophysics
Planning and supervising drilling programs but not necessarily involved in detailed core logging
Interpreting results to recommend new drilling locations or target areas
Preparing reports, geological models, and maps for exploration planning
Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and operational standards
Hydrogeologist Geologist
Conduct hydrogeological assessments and monitor groundwater systems
Log hydro samples and RC chips in the field
Support mine water management strategies and resource definition programs
Direct and supervise drilling teams, ensuring accurate sample collection
Manage, analyse, and report data for internal stakeholders and mine planning teams
Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and operational standards
Profile
A relevant tertiary qualification in Geology (Hydrogeologist will hold a Hydrogeology / Water Resources Geology degree)
Experience with logging hydro samples, RC chips OR diamond cores
Current WA Manual C-Class Driver's Licence
Proficiency in geological software such as Vulcan, Acquire, ArcGIS, and Leapfrog Geo
First Aid Certificate (or ability to obtain)
4wd course certificate (or ability to obtain)
Full Australian Working Rights
Ability to complete a pre employment medical and obtain a National Police Clearance
Strong communication skills and ability to lead teams in remote locations.
