We're seeking a seasoned Employee Relations Business Partner to join our Human Resources team. As a trusted advisor, you will provide strategic guidance on employment and industrial relations matters, partnering with stakeholders across the organization to manage complex cases and investigations.
About the Role
This is a key position that requires expertise in employment law, industrial relations, and case management. You will work closely with our People Business Partnering teams and leaders to provide advice on performance management, disciplinary matters, termination, re-organisations, and other HR-related issues.
As an Employee Relations Business Partner, you will also be responsible for advising on enterprise agreements, modern awards, employment contracts, and Company policies and processes. This includes supporting the business with periodic enterprise bargaining processes and designing and implementing compliance-focused measures, such as a modern policy suite, and ER knowledge base.
Key Responsibilities
* Partner with key stakeholders to manage employment and industrial relations matters, including case coaching
* Provide advice and coaching to our People Business Partnering teams and leaders on performance management, investigations, disciplinary matters, termination, re-organisations, and other HR-related issues
* Advise on enterprise agreements, modern awards, employment contracts, and Company policies and processes
* Support the business with periodic enterprise bargaining processes
* Support the design and implementation of compliance-focused measures, including a modern policy suite, and ER knowledge base
About You
We're looking for someone with strong knowledge of employment and industrial relations frameworks, preferably with prior experience as an ER/IR practitioner or in-house employment counsel. You should have a demonstrated ability to manage bargaining and industrial disputation effectively and pragmatically, as well as experience in designing and implementing modern ER/IR policies.
You'll also need excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including trade unions and external advisors. A continuous improvement mindset and intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office are essential for this role.
As a Defence security clearance is required for this position, applicants must be Australian citizens and either possess or be eligible to obtain and maintain appropriate clearances.
