Part of a larger group of companies, our client set up its Australian branch recently and is now looking to strengthen its finance leadership team with this new hire.
Description
Reporting into a local Managing Director and international-based CFO, the key duties of this role will include:
* Oversee month end and year end financial closings
* Delivery of financial reports
* Maintaining inventory accuracy
* Variance analysis between actual and standard costing
* Inventory reconciliations
* Provide reporting on payables and cash flow
* Assist with upcoming system change
* Leading a team of 4 (3 across finance and 1 across purchasing)
Profile
The successful candidate will possess the following traits:
* CA/CPA Qualified
* Prior people leadership experience
* Commercial accounting background, ideally working within an inventory or manufacturing based environment
* Strong knowledge of Australian accounting standards and tax regulations
* Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
* Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with stakeholders at all levels
