Task & Responsibilities
* Identify and diagnose mechanical faults in diesel engines and related components.
* Dismantle, repair, and reassemble engines, transmissions, steering systems, and other mechanical assemblies following manufacturer specifications.
* Conduct routine maintenance services including oil changes, lubrication, and engine tune‑ups to enhance vehicle efficiency and meet emission standards.
* Replace worn or defective parts using proper tools and service manuals.
* Test and adjust mechanical systems post‑repair to ensure optimal functionality.
* Use computer‑assisted diagnostic equipment to assess and troubleshoot faults.
* Perform vehicle inspections and, where required, issue or recommend steps for road‑worthiness certification.
* Maintain and repair essential systems such as suspension, braking, and steering in diesel‑powered heavy vehicles.
Qualification & Experience
* 1–3 years of hands‑on experience as a Diesel Mechanic or in a similar role.
* Qualification in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent.
* Strong technical knowledge of diesel engines and mechanical systems.
* Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
