About the role
A rare opportunity has risen for an experienced and dedicated Early Childhood Teacher to join our team at Mitchelton Pre-Schooling Centre (MPC). Commencing in Term 1, 2026 in our Unit 1-3 day group Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday (37.5 hours per fortnight). The role is for a first-term contract position with the vision of extending the contract for the remainder of the 2026 year (with the potential for permanency). Employment will be as per the MPC Early Childhood Education Enterprise Agreement 2024.
What we're looking for
Bachelor of Early Childhood Education or equivalent with ACECQA approval
Current Queensland Teachers Registration
Current Working with Children Check or Exemption card for registered Teachers
Current First Aid certificate with Asthma and Anaphylaxis training
Current Child Protection training
Passion for child-centred, play-based learning
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development

Support children, families, management committee and staff members to develop a sense of belonging and place at MPC
through meaningful connections and relationships
Strong understanding of the 'Code of Ethics' Early Childhood Australia

An understanding of the National Quality Framework v2.0 and Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guidelines
An understanding of 'Play' and in its importance to children's learning
