The Opportunity
Are you a heavy-hitting SAP Architect who thrives on large-scale enterprise complexity?
We are representing a major industry player based in Preston embarking on a multi-stage enterprise transformation. This role sits at the heart of the transformation, providing the \"Design Authority\" across S/4HANA migrations, deep integrations, and cross-functional optimisations.
* The RoleDesign Authority: Define and document end-to-end SAP solution architecture across FI/CO, MM, SD, and WM/EWM.
* Integration Excellence: Oversee complex system interoperability between SAP and external platforms (WMS, CRM, eCommerce).
* Stakeholder Influence: Navigate Executive and Technical layers to provide pragmatic recommendations that balance \"Best Practice\" vs. \"Customization.\"
* Governance: Establish architecture standards and conduct design reviews to ensure compliance with enterprise principles.
* Delivery Support: Provide the technical \"north star\" for project teams during fit-gap, testing (SIT/UAT), and high-stakes cutovers.
About You
We are looking for a seasoned professional with a pedigree in large-scale SAP environments.
* 10+ years of SAP experience with multiple full-lifecycle implementations.
* Proven track record as a Solution Architect on large-scale programs.
* Deep expertise in S/4HANA and/or complex migration paths.
* Strong cross-module knowledge (specifically around Supply Chain and Finance flows).
* Integration Guru: Hands-on experience with middleware and external system connectivity.
Highly regarded:
* Experience within Retail or Supply Chain environments.
* Certifications in TOGAF or SAP Activate.
