Are you an experienced and compassionate nurse with a passion for mentoring and education? We are seeking an enthusiastic After-Hours Clinical Development Nurse to support our new graduate nurses as they navigate the early stages of their careers. This critical role provides mentorship, clinical guidance, and professional development to new graduates during after-hours shifts, ensuring their success in delivering exceptional patient care. As the After-Hours Clinical Development Nurse, you will act as a trusted resource for new graduate nurses, offering hands-on support, answering clinical queries, and fostering a positive learning environment. You will collaborate with nursing teams across the facility to maintain high standards of care and help graduates build their confidence and clinical decision-making skills.

Selection Criteria
To help us assess your suitability for the role, please tell us as much as you can about yourself in response to the questions below.
1. Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and Relevant post-registration qualifications and at least 3 years’ experience working in the clinical area of the employees specified post-graduate qualification, or such other qualifications or equivalent experience deemed appropriate by the public hospital or public health organisation.
2. Demonstrated experience and skills in providing complex care in the relevant field.
3. Demonstrated ability to provide safe compassionate quality care that is culturally responsive
4. Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and engage with patients/consumers, carers and the multidisciplinary health care team to identify and ensure responsiveness of care needs
5. Demonstrated capacity to interact with others in a personable and professional manner and personally resolve conflicts when they arise
6. Demonstrated evidence of the use of critical thinking as it relates to the delivery of advanced evidenced based nursing care
7. Demonstrated understanding and participation in risk management, work health and safety and quality improvement in the workplace
