We have a Full-Time opportunity for a Clinical Nurse to help support our clients across the area.
Your Role
Our team requires a Clinical Nurse who understands and drives person-centred care in both Community Care and the School Based Immunisation Program (SIP). As Clinical Nurse you will be assisting in setting clinical standards that reflect best practice and assisting clinical employees to improve skills and knowledge through leadership and direction.
The person we are looking for should have advanced nursing skills to provide appropriate supervision, along with a variety of specialist skills and passion in the following areas:
* Wound care
* Medication management
* Immunisation
* Strong Organisational skills and time management
* Support administrative/scheduling team – programming and rostering
* Exceptional customer service to clients, representatives, school staff, students and their families and Public Health Unit (PHU)
Your tasks will include:
* Co-ordinate and provide comprehensive care involving assessment, prevention, early detection, referral and health promotion
* Co-ordinate and regularly evaluate the effects of care provided through planner reviews and assessment, or as required, in consultation with client, carer and multidisciplinary team
* Participate and initiate community collaborations and partnerships that contribute to client care services
* Provide support and direction to Registered Nurses
* Clinical oversight
* Clinical organisation and supervision of the School Based Immunisation Program, working with SIP Immunisation Program Nurses (IPNs), Administrative staff and the Branch Management to implement this program across Brisbane North.
* Assist the administration team with any clinical enquiries from schools and influenza customers as well as review and follow up student consent information as required
* Clinical support and training to other members of the team including Cold Chain, Anaphylaxis, Immunisation updates working with PHU
* Participate in Immunisation clinics, troubleshoot and assist with incident reporting
* Management of vaccine and consumable ordering

Role Requirements
* Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
* Demonstrated application of advanced level clinical and problem-solving skills
* Demonstrated ability in the use of computer software in the delivery of care services
* Prior community nursing experience will be highly regarded
* Immunisation Program Nurse (IPN) QLD certificate and experience
* Current Police Screening Certificate
* Current QLD Driver's License
* Current CPR certification
* Proof of vaccination and or immunity against, Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR), Varicella (Chicken Pox) & Pertussis (Whooping Cough).
* Influenza vaccination, highly recommended
* Covid vaccination, highly recommended
