.ABOUT THE DIVISION
Social Policy Division (SPD) and Industry, Education and Infrastructure Division (IEID) provide policy and financial advice on government expenditure and non-taxation revenue matters to the Minister for Finance, other senior ministers, and a number of Cabinet committees, including the Expenditure Review Committee (ERC) of Cabinet. SPD and IEID provide policy and financial advice on a range of policy matters including in relation to: social security and welfare payments; health; disability services, including the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS); community services; Indigenous affairs; aged care; veterans' affairs; government service delivery; education; employment and workplace relations; climate change, energy, the environment and water; industry, science and resources; agriculture, fisheries and forestry; and infrastructure, transport, regional development, communications and the arts.
ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
The Executive Officer will directly support the divisional staff and executive (of one division), including by:
* Supporting the timeliness, consistency and quality assurance of briefings and other material including Ministerial Correspondence and Briefs, Questions on Notice, Senate Estimates Briefing and ad hoc requests.
* Supporting the Division’s operational delivery of the Budget at peak times.
* Liaising and consulting with staff across the Division and Department to achieve priorities, including responding effectively to emerging issues.
* Coordinating the Division’s unified response in communications with internal and external stakeholders.
* Assisting with reporting and engaging with corporate business partners and supporting corporate planning, business plans, risk plans, performance reporting, budgeting, Cabinet and Budget processes and input into the Annual Report.
