Future Generation Joint Venture (FGJV) is the principal contractor for Snowy Hydro's Snowy 2.0, Australia's largest committed renewable energy project. We bring the combined engineering expertise of three companies – Italy's Webuild (formerly Salini Impregilo), Australian-based Clough and US-based Lane Construction.
Snowy 2.0 is the next chapter in the Snowy Scheme's history. It is the largest committed renewable energy project in Australia, providing on-demand energy and large‐scale storage for many generations to come.
As the chief estimator
You'll be the person the team looks to for clarity, accuracy, and technical leadership. Your work will directly influence major commercial decisions, strategic planning, procurement pathways, and the financial success of a landmark renewable energy project.

What You'll Lead
* Build and guide a high‐performing estimating team.
* Review complex design data, scope packages, and plans to ensure total coverage.
* Identify major cost and risk drivers – and help the business stay ahead of them.
* Coordinate and evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing.
* Produce conceptual and detailed cost estimates across multiple disciplines.
* Drive standardisation across estimating processes and templates.
* Maintain construction cost intelligence for materials, labour, and market trends.
* Influence construction methodology through cost‐led insights.

Who You Are
You're a seasoned senior estimator who thrives in fast‐moving, technical environments. You have an instinct for cost drivers, a sharp eye for detail, and the ability to translate complexity into clarity.
Strongly qualified if you:
* A degree in Civil Engineering, Construction, Administration, or similar.
* A decade or more of experience in major construction estimating.
* Strong capability with Excel and estimating systems (e.g., CCS Candy, STR Vision CPM, Primavera).
* Proven ability to coach and influence a team.
* Strong mathematical capability and a problem‐solver's mindset.
* Confidence working under pressure, managing deadlines, and communicating clearly.

Cooma, NSW is the central project hub, approximately 120 km from Canberra. Snowy 2.0 construction sites (Lobs Hole, Talbingo, Marica, Tantangara) are also roughly 120 km from Cooma and situated within the National Park — a unique and rewarding project environment requiring disciplined environmental stewardship.
