Senior Academic Lead in Allied Health and Nursing
About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and values-driven Senior Academic Lead to guide our Allied Health & Nursing Service Learning Program and workforce development initiatives across North-West Queensland.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversight of planning, delivery, and evaluation of high-quality allied health and nursing student placements.
* Collaboration with health services, community organisations, Traditional Owners, and educational partners to strengthen clinical training pathways.
* Mentoring novice practitioners and rural generalist trainees, contributing to research and evaluation activities, and promoting culturally responsive learning experiences.
Requirements
* A recognised qualification in Allied Health or Nursing plus relevant postgraduate training.
* Senior professional experience in remote or Indigenous health contexts.
* Clinical expertise in community rehabilitation and/or paediatrics.
* Strong teaching capability and experience operating in rural health education settings.
* Proven project management skills.
* Demonstrated cultural capability and experience leading diverse teams.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
