We are currently looking for a:
Maintenance Technician
About the role:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for repairing and maintaining park facilities, including buildings, grounds, and mechanical systems. The role requires skills in fitting, building maintenance, and tool use. Responsibilities include general park maintenance, pool and slide upkeep, and ensuring guest safety and operational efficiency. The technician must have problem-solving skills, work independently, and prioritize tasks effectively.
Roles & Responsibilities:
* Perform maintenance on park interiors, exteriors, roofing, restrooms, food buildings, and pump rooms.
* Maintain mechanical equipment, including pumps, motors, and kitchen equipment.
* Lead carpentry, painting, plumbing, and electrical tasks.
* Repair electrical, plumbing, pumps, motors, welding, carpentry, fiberglass, and HVAC systems.
* Complete handyman tasks like painting and concrete repairs.
* Keep maintenance records and use CMMS software.
* Conduct inspections and prioritize safety-related repairs.
* Perform landscaping and general cleaning duties.
* Assist with water quality and attraction inspections as needed.
Workplace Health & Safety (WHS):
* Follow safety policies and use protective equipment.
* Report incidents and hazards promptly.
* Participate in safety meetings and promote safety culture.
Requirements:
Education:
* High School Certificate or trade qualification (desirable).
* Manual Handling, Confined Space, and Working at Heights training.
Languages: Fluent English
Skills:
* Strong mechanical skills and experience with tools and landscaping equipment.
* Proficiency in handyman tasks and problem-solving.
* Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
* Good communication and teamwork skills.
Experience:
* Trade background in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting, or landscaping.
* Mechanic and welding experience (preferred).
* Knowledge of commercial pools and systems (desirable).
Relationships:
Internal: General Manager, Facilities, Finance, F&B, Guest Experience, Operations, HR, Retail, Sales & Marketing.
External: Contractors, Suppliers, Business Partners.
Additional comments:
