SUPER) ROLE OVERVIEW We are seeking an experienced PMO Lead to join a Portfolio Program Management Office.
This position is critical in leading the establishment, setup, operation, and eventual handover of a fit-for-purpose Capability Framework within the PMO environment.
The role requires an individual who can engage strategically, drive portfolio governance, and deliver simplified and effective PMO processes tailored to the complexity of the programs and projects in scope.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOINGDevelop and implement a robust Capability Framework, including associated processes, tools, and templates.Establish Portfolio-level governance structures and program reporting mechanisms.Collaborate with Priority Delivery Leads to define program scope, deliverables, and priorities.Create fit-for-purpose, streamlined templates and procedures that balance governance needs with delivery agility.Operate and lead the day-to-day running of the PPMO.Apply a tailored approach to delivery support, offering lite-touch guidance to delivery owners and embedded support where required.Facilitate planning and delivery support for project sponsors as needed.Produce high-quality, insight-driven monthly reporting for executive stakeholders, focusing on progress across COO group priorities.Lead the knowledge transfer and handover process to ensure sustainable continuation of PMO operations post-engagement.
MORE ABOUT YOUProven experience providing strategic leadership in PMO environments, ensuring alignment with organisational goals.Strong background in project, program, and portfolio delivery oversight.Excellent documentation skills with a focus on compliance and quality standards.Effective stakeholder management skills, including working with Senior Responsible Owners, Delivery Leads, and Business Executives.Demonstrated ability to develop delivery strategies and frameworks that enable scalable and adaptive project execution.Strong problem-solving capabilities and a consultative approach to resolving complex challenges.Experience in leading, mentoring, and supporting high-performing project teams.Collaborative mindset with an ability to work across multiple departments and disciplines.PMO accreditation (e.g., P3 O, Mo P, or equivalent).Familiarity with or adherence to ISO 21500:2021.
