Job Title: Counsellor for Vulnerable Families
About the Role:
This is a unique opportunity to provide support and guidance to families in need.
Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:
* Providing therapy, care coordination, and advocacy to families experiencing child protection concerns.
* Working alongside a team of counsellors and an Aboriginal Health and Family Worker to enhance child safety, strengthen parenting capacity, and support placement stability, restoration, and family preservation.
* Meeting with families in their own communities to provide outreach services and work together to keep children safe and support recovery from trauma.
About You:
* You have strong therapeutic skills for supporting families.
* You are a team player, enthusiastic about working with vulnerable families who have experienced trauma.
* You have knowledge of child protection, domestic and family violence, and trauma, with a drive to deepen your expertise.
* You are committed to Closing the Gap and enjoy working with Aboriginal families and communities.
