About The Opportunity
The primary purpose of this position is to operate and maintain a range of manual machinery, ensuring components are machined to precise specifications and meeting production requirements.
Reporting directly to the Workshop Supervisor, some of your responsibilities will include:
* Reading and interpreting technical drawings
* Performing quality control inspections to ensure precision
* Collaborating closely with a small, tight-knit workshop team
* Operating manual lathes, milling machines, drilling and slotting equipment
* Supporting shutdown and site-based work when required (optional travel for extra earning potential)
About You
The successful candidate will have:
* Sound knowledge of mechanical fitting
* Proven experience with manual machining equipment
* Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment
* Trade qualification as a Machinist with Cert III in Mechanical Engineering
* Strong communication skills and a commitment to health and safety procedures
* Willingness to learn, with training opportunities provided to grow into hydraulic technician roles
