Job Purpose
To assist in engineering services of Survey and Buoyancy & Water Weights which will include manufacture, assemble, install, service & test components & systems pertaining to the entire product range of the company in accordance with the company guidelines, drawings, regulations & statuary requirements as well as technical support to clients.
Role & Responsibilities
* Work under the direction of the Senior Service Engineer.
* Carry out testing, maintenance, calibration and packing of Company rental equipment ensuring all work is carried out to the appropriate test procedures and standards.
* Assist with providing remote or site-based support to clients and colleagues with Company equipment.
* Become trained and competent with the support and operation of Unique Group Autonomous Survey Vessels and local ROV fleet.
* Maintain good housekeeping practices in all areas of the workshop.
* Update the status of rental assets, job reports and documentation for Company assets.
* Communicate effectively with colleagues at all levels to ensure satisfactory information transfer.
* Required to work at customer premises in Perth region in addition to some remote site-based work in Australia.

Knowledge, Skill & Experience
Education
Certificate III, IV, or Diploma in Electronics, Instrumentation and Communications or similar field.
Technical Skills
* High degree of computer literacy and experience with serial and IP communications desirable.
* Experience with working with basic hand tools.
Experience
* Work experience in electronics and or communications is desirable.
* Exposure to maritime or survey industry/equipment highly regarded.
* Excellent housekeeping skills.
Skilled in the Usage of
* Hand tools: Screwdriver, spanners & sockets sets (Metric & imperial), Allen keys, measuring instruments, pipe flaring tool, pipe bending tools, hack saw, punch etc.
* Drilling machines, grinders, sanders, hydraulic pipe flaring tools, jig saw, router, etc.
* Gauge & analyzer calibration, pressure & leak testing equipment, load test weights & load cell, gas analysis/purity, compressors, pumps.
