We are seeking a driven and technically skilled sales professional to join our team in Queensland. This role focuses on maintaining and expanding customer relationships, particularly within the mining and minerals processing sectors.
This is a home-office-based role with regular travel required across Northern Queensland and the Northern Territory, especially the Bowen Basin region. Mackay is an ideal base, but other locations will be considered, including Brisbane and alternative regional Queensland cities, provided that travel requirements can be met.
Key responsibilities:
* Provide technical support to new and existing customers to ensure optimal use of lubrication systems
* Promote and technically support the implementation of connected lubrication solutions with a focus on LoRaWAN enabled products
* Collaborate with distribution partners to grow their sales and technical capabilities
* Identify and develop new business opportunities from prospecting to implementation
* Conduct technical assessments and prepare written recommendations and quotations
* Perform equipment surveys, particularly on fixed plant assets such as motors, conveyors, pumps, and fans
* Deliver training to customer personnel on product and system knowledge
* Maintain regular activity reports and contribute to business development planning

Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have:
* Proven ability to work independently and manage their own schedule
* Minimum 5 years' experience in technical sales, ideally within the mining sector
* Demonstrated success in business growth and client relationship management
* Mechanical trade qualification or engineering background (preferred but not essential)
* Understanding of lubrication principles and rolling element bearings
* Interest in IIoT technologies and connected lubrication systems
* Knowledge of fixed plant equipment in mining and mineral processing
* Experience working with reliability, maintenance, and condition monitoring teams
* Hands-on approach to technical support and client engagement
* Physical capability for site audits and equipment inspections
* Willingness to complete site inductions, medical clearances, and drug/alcohol testing
* Strong written communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
