Position Summary
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a talented and enthusiastic Graduate Electrical Engineer to join our Darwin team. You will have the opportunity to combine professional and technical learning, on the job learning alongside ongoing mentoring whilst working on real‑world, innovative projects. You will have the opportunity to work on industrial automation projects from kick‑off to hand‑over, including design documentation, PLC RTU and SCADA programming, factory acceptance testing, on‑site commissioning and hand‑over documentation.
In this role you will
* Be highly motivated, enthusiastic, proactive and resourceful with a great attitude.
* Have knowledge of PLC, SCADA and HMI systems (Desirable).
* Basic understanding of electrical circuit fundamentals.
* Be highly competent at report and technical writing.
* Provide assistance with technical delivery and execution of projects.
* Work within a team environment alongside other junior and senior Engineers.
* Provide project assistance and support to the Project Managers and Support Technicians.
* Assist estimators with the development of proposals and tender responses.
* Ability to maintain confidentiality, accuracy and prioritise work to meet conflicting deadlines.
* Possess confidence and the ability to liaise with management and internal staff.
Skills & Experience
* Be an undergraduate or recent graduate of Electrical or Mechatronic Engineering.
* Have high computer competency, particularly with MS Office.
* Experience in Electrical Drafting & use of software packages i.e. Autocad is desirable.
* Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Have a strong desire and interest to work within the automation industry.
* Must have the right to work in Australia.
* Be an Australian citizen. Defence Clearance is desirable.
