About the Role
As an Aged Care Home & Community Assistant, you will provide personalised support to older Australians, helping them live independently at home while positively impacting their community.
We offer casual opportunities with shifts between 8am and 7pm, Monday to Friday, no evening or sleepover shifts. Shift durations start from 2 hours. The role requires willingness to travel around Canberra, supporting multiple clients in one day.
Key Responsibilities
* Domestic assistance such as meal preparation and light cleaning
* Personal care including grooming and showering
* Assisting clients to access medical appointments and social activities
* Supporting with daily routines and tasks
* Building positive relationships with clients
Skills & Experience
* A passion for making a positive impact in the ageing community
* Australian Driver’s Licence and reliable vehicle with minimum third-party insurance
* Strong communication skills to build and maintain relationships
* Current First Aid and CPR certificates (must be obtained prior to employment)
Successful candidates will undergo pre-employment checks, including a National Criminal History Record Check and an Aged Care Statutory Declaration.
