We are seeking an experienced, no-nonsense General Manager to lead daily operations at our established auto dismantling business. This role is ideal for someone who understands salvage operations and can motivate and manage people, inventory, warehousing, dismantling, dispatch ,returns ,car transporting ,deliveries, safety, and profitability without needing hand-holding.
You’ll be responsible for keeping the business running smoothly, efficiency, quality control, and safety—while driving growth, recruiting, and mentoring
Key Responsibilities
Oversee all daily business operations, including dismantling, inventory, sales, and logistics
Mentor middle managers and team leaders
Manage and supervise yard staff, office personnel, and drivers
Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and local/state regulations
Control inventory of vehicles, parts, and scrap materials
Monitor costs, margins ,department and staff productivity and overall profitability
Implement operational improvements and reporting to increase efficiency and revenue
Resolve customer issues and maintain a strong reputation in the market
Qualifications
Proven management experience in an automotive industry or salvage operation, recycling yard, or related industry
Strong knowledge of business management
Experience managing teams and enforcing safety standards
Comfortable with inventory systems, basic reporting, and cost controls
Ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
