This is an opportunity for a paralegal or person with regulatory experience who is keen to develop their career at a premier regulator. The role involves supporting the administration and functioning of Building Commission NSW's Disciplinary Proceedings Registry which is responsible assisting delegates in the conduct of disciplinary proceedings for licenced and registered professionals under the various building related legislation.

About the role
This position is in the Disciplinary Proceedings Registry, which is responsible for coordinating disciplinary proceedings in relation to licence holders within the NSW building industry. The delegates who oversee disciplinary proceedings are responsible for making determinations about complex matters of fact and law and the appropriate disciplinary action in relation to licence holders and registration holders.
This role will suit a professional administrative support officer, paralegal or regulatory officer with several years' experience.
In this role, you will:
* Assist in all administrative tasks in issuing and retrieving collating large document sets
* administering the teams sharepoint, TRIM and other record management systems
* retrieving, auditing and inputting database data for the team
* preparing statistics for regular reporting
* assisting senior officers in development/auditing of team policy and procedures
* minute taking and collation for team meeting
* work collaboratively with internal stakeholders including investigators, inspectors, and legal officers, as well as external stakeholders, including traders and consumers;
* other paralegal, administrative or project work as required.
To be successful in this role:
* You must have professional administrative, paralegal or regulatory experience in service/issuing of legal documents
* You must have good written communication skills and the ability to express complex issues in a concise and logical manner
* You must have experience supporting a large team in administration, record storage/retrieval, drafting and monitoring policies and procedures, minute taking, stakeholder management and other general administrative/paralegal/regulatory skills
* You must have experience in the use of office software
