Maxima's Recruitment Services are seeking an experienced Horticulturist to work for local councils around the Metro Adelaide area.
This is a casual 3-month position with the possibility of ongoing for the right candidates, working a 9-day fortnight.
Responsibilities
Field-based duties: Undertake various horticulture duties in different work environments, contributing to landscape infrastructure and operational programs.
Machinery and tools: Utilize a broad variety of machinery and hand tools for tasks such as grass slashing, turf mowing, vegetation pruning, and garden bed maintenance.
Teamwork: Work cooperatively in a team environment, actively contributing to a supportive team atmosphere.
Safety and compliance: Operate and maintain plant safely, including trucks, mowers, tractors, and specialized plant, while complying with WHS and risk management policies and procedures.
Physical demands: Be prepared to undertake heavy manual work and work outdoors in all weather conditions.
To Be Successful
* Previous experience in horticulture
* Certificate III in Horticulture/Arborist
* Able to pass a pre-employment medical
