Primary Objective
To provide accurate and timely end-to-end payroll services for a diverse workforce of sea-based and shore-based personnel. The successful candidate will be the subject matter expert in interpreting complex Marine Enterprise Bargaining Agreements (EBAs) and ensuring total compliance within the ADP platform.
Key Responsibilities
* End-to-End Payroll: Manage the full payroll cycle for permanent, casual, and contract maritime staff.
* EBA Interpretation: Accurately interpret and apply multiple Marine EBAs and Industry Awards (e.g., Seagoing Industry Award).
* ADP Management: Maintain the ADP (Payforce/GlobalView) system, ensuring all employee data, tax, and superannuation details are current.
* Marine Allowances: Process specialised maritime payments, including leave accruals for swing rotations, victualling, sea-time allowances, and travel reimbursements.
* Compliance & Reporting: Ensure adherence to Single Touch Payroll (STP), payroll tax, and superannuation obligations.
* Stakeholder Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for payroll queries from Vessel Masters, Crew, and shore-based management.
Skills & Qualifications
* System Expertise: 2+ years of hands-on experience using ADP software (essential).
* Maritime Knowledge: Proven experience interpreting Marine EBAs or working within a heavy industrial/offshore environment.
* Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of Australian Fair Work legislation and payroll tax.
* Accuracy: High attention to detail, especially regarding complex roster patterns and swing-based leave.
* Communication: Ability to liaise professionally with offshore crew and union representatives.
